Real Estate Broker & Owner
I am Tina Leonard, Broker/Owner of Tina Leonard Real Estate I started Tina Leonard Real Estate in June of 2016. With nearly 3 decades of experience as a full time REALTOR and a majority of that time being a long term rental Agent in the area, I realized that it was time to start my own business. My experience as an Office Manager, Property Manager and Lic. Assoc. Broker has allowed me to accumulate extensive knowledge in the many aspects of the Real Estate Industry throughout my career. Life changed for me when I lost most of my sight due to complications of Glaucoma in 2013. I realized that losing my sight gave me brighter visions of life and higher expectations for myself. I knew I had the knowledge and support to continue a successful real estate career. I have always had a passion and dedication to helping everyone find a home that fits their needs, whether it’s renting a one room $400 a month apartment, buying that dream home or buying that first home with no money down, I am the dedicated REALTOR that you want working for you.
I am a Native of Lake Placid and I have always been active in the Community. Most recently one of my Clients said, “Every time we mentioned your name in the Village the people we were talking to knew you and spoke highly of you. It was great!”
I have been involved or volunteered in several local organizations. I have served as President of the Shipman Youth Center, the Gold Medal BNI Chapter, Rotary Club of Lake Placid and the Northern Adirondack Board of Realtors. I also served in various other positions within those organizations and have received the honor of many awards to acknowledge my community dedication. I was honored by the local Realtors when I was voted for and received recognition as “Realtor of the Year” in 2002.
My Husband Joe and I live in Lake Placid, our son Joseph and his Wife Abby still lives in the area and they have our first Grand Daughter, Maeve Amelia. Our daughter Daci lives in Niskayuna, NY with her husband Mike.

Grew up in Saranac Lake and moved around a bit to farm country in VT and the white mountains of NH. Somehow I’ve always seemed to find my way back here. I’ve always had an appreciation of the outdoors- hiking, camping, and kayaking are a few of my favorite activities. Living and owning a home out in the Rainbow Lake area provides great opportunities for each, as well.
Throughout high school and into college, I was into computer repair. I worked at a small shop in Lake Placid, as well as helping out friends and family on the side. By my second year of college I had a change of heart and began venturing towards the field of psychology. For the majority of my 20’s, I did direct care with the disabled and elderly. While it was an interesting experience, I knew it wasn’t what I wanted to do long-term. Since I enjoy woodworking as a hobby, I decided in the summer of 2018 to work as a construction laborer for an independent contractor rehabbing a house. It was challenging at times but a great learning experience. Since then I’ve worked with a property management company during the summer months and briefly for a mason at the end of the season. Near the end of 2019, I formed my own company to do basic residential caretaking, titled Do It Wright Inc.
At the beginning of the year, long-term friend Chase Jermano, who’s an experienced real estate agent at Tina Leonard Real Estate LLC told me that broker/owner, Tina Leonard, was looking for an administrative assistant. Having done IT work and had prior experience with most of the MS Office programs, I decided to give it a shot. I learned pretty quickly that no two days are the same. I also got to see how real estate combined a little of each of the things I’d enjoyed most from prior occupations- helping and meeting new people, construction, and problem solving. With this in mind, and much encouragement from Tina, I decided to pursue my real estate license. I’m excited to continue to learn and grow, helping buyers and sellers as part of the team at Tina Leonard Real Estate LLC.
